Hi, I’m Tyisha M. Copeland, the owner and founder of Tyisha’s Sweets. I began my baking journey 5 years ago. It all started when my daughter wished to have “The Princess and the Frog” 3D cake for her birthday, which costs $200 and may cater to less than 40 people only. During those days, I couldn’t afford to purchase one, so I decided to make and create my own version of the cake.

It was all made possible with the help of YouTube back then. The cake turned out great, and my daughter and her guests loved it. Surprisingly, one of our guests told me that she’s willing to pay me if I make one for her daughter. That’s the start of my official business. Weekend after weekend, I was able to bake and design cakes for different individuals.

After successful transactions, I decided to attend a school where I earned my degree as a pastry chef. As a mother, I always plan to create and offer affordable, customized cakes, so no other parents have to endure the hardship of not being able to give their child a cake on their birthday.
